The chain guide has a slot for the dip stick to slide into the oil pan. That slot broke and the dip stick missed the hole jamming into the crank hub.

Parts of flywheel springs on engine undertray, me and my co-worker were like ”what are these chain links doing here” (they looked like loose chain links) and our VW guy comes over and goes ”ohhhh snap”.

One of my regular customers has been borrowing it from family and decided to bring it in for service as a thank you. I found an array of Bosch, Autolite, and NGK plugs and an air filter that allowed 0 light through it as well

This customer was just in for a recall and doesn’t have the remote with the keys, went to lock the vehicle after the service was done, and noticed that when you lock the vehicle from the driver’s door, this happens .

Tighten until it strips, then back off a quarter turn.

LOL at the tire. I’ve told people (when they don’t get a joke) that they have a very “East German” sense of humor. as you’d expect, whether or not they know what I’m talking about depends on their age.

It almost didn’t make it into this roundup! I keep wanting to embed those Reddit videos here , but I just c an’t seem to figure out how. (I guess I could find a way to download the videos and upload them to YouTube myself, but that’s too much tr ouble IMO .)

R eddit’s recent redesign does appear to include an embed feature , but I don’t thi nk they’ve gotten i t working yet.
